One of the valuable materials in the game is Amethyst. This gemstone is not only sought after for its beauty but also for its utility in various in-game crafting and story-related endeavors. Here’s a guide on how you can obtain Amethyst in Dave the Diver.

Dave the Diver Amethyst Location

To obtain Amethyst in “Dave the Diver,” players must venture into the Depths area, a challenging and dark zone within the game that requires specific equipment and upgrades. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate this process and successfully acquire Amethyst:

  1. Complete Chapter 1: First, you need to complete Chapter 1 of the game to unlock the headlamp. The headlamp is crucial for exploring the Depths area, as it will help you navigate through the darkness and locate resources, including Amethyst ore nodes.
  2. Upgrade Your Diving Suit: The Depths area is located in deep waters that present harsh conditions and increased pressure. To survive this environment, you must upgrade your diving suit a couple of times. This ensures that you can withstand the deep black waters and have a longer duration to explore without worrying about the suit’s integrity.
  3. Locate the Amethyst Ore Nodes: While the exact spawn locations of Amethyst nodes can vary, a reliable spot to check is the bottom right corner of the map in the Depths area. Players often find an Amethyst node in this region, usually accompanied by a chest.
  4. Gather Necessary Tools: To harvest Amethyst from the node, you’ll need a pickaxe. Chests in the Depths area commonly contain either a UV light or a pickaxe. Ensure you find and equip a pickaxe to mine the Amethyst. Once you have the pickaxe, approach the Amethyst node and interact with it (typically with a left-click action) three times to extract three pieces of Amethyst. Another option is upgrading your knive to lvl 2 this way you don’t need to drop the knive for the pickaxe. You can do this only after finishing chapter 6.
  5. Oxygen Management: The Depths area, being a remote and deep location, can pose a risk of depleting your oxygen supply. Keep an eye on your oxygen levels while exploring. You can find a clamshell in the vicinity to replenish your oxygen. However, if your oxygen level gets critically low, it’s advised to use the escape pod immediately to return to the surface safely.
